5 things you need to Make the Most of Equip Exposition

1. Get Registered
If you’re registered, you are in the ‘know’. We send out emails about everything going on at the event. Plus, no matter when you register everyone gets the same benefits so why wait until the price goes up? After September 5 the price doubles. And after October 14 the price doubles again to $120 per person. Right now it’s just $30 bucks that’s four people for the price of one person if you wait until you are at the door. Everything is starting to fill up, and if you wait until October, you will have fewer choices and pay the most.

2. Download the Equip App
Go on your phone and search Equip Exposition in your app store. The app is your event guide. It is loaded with the start time for all our sessions and the Event Schedule and a tradeshow map for the entire facility. Every week it will get updated with even more information, like where the biggest Giveaways are and where you can find Breakfast, Lunch, and Coffee during the show. Plus, if you like to build your own schedule, you can favorite any event or location so you have a short list of things to see.

3. Decide what you are going to do
Equip is more than any one person can see in a single trip, so you have to divide and conquer. This is why so many people bring a crew. If you want to demo a bunch of equipment, go to education sessions and see all the Exhibits – you really need to sit down and look at our schedule. Find it on our App or on our website. The App works with any Android or iPhone so we’ve got you covered.

4. Understand what your commute looks like
Equip is in Louisville, Kentucky. Tons of people drive in. You should go ahead and look at your route and block out your calendar so you leave on time. We have events that won’t ever repeat. For example, Kevin O’Connor on Wednesday and Trace Adkins at the Yum! Center on Thursday. These are all free with your badge, so missing them is leaving something on the table

•    When you travel to the show, I’m going to give you a secret. Enter from anywhere other than the main gate. Parking on site is free, and it fills up. Use GPS to get to the facility, but if you are coming later than 10 a.m., you need to park around back, so it’s best to enter from there. Same goes when you are leaving.

5. Decide HOW you are planning to grow your business.
Equip is a big place, and has over 100+ education and events to choose from. Some small, and other much bigger. There are tons of places to test equipment or network with other contractors. Making the most of your trip means knowing how you are going to meet new people and learn what they know. This year we have so many events, so anyone can find relatable challenges and solutions and come back to Equip each year with a healthy business.
A note on badges: You need a badge to get onto the show floor and into the Outdoor Demo Yard.

Get it early and save time:
•    Before the show, Come to the Welcome Reception at Churchill Down’s First Turn Club on Tuesday, October 15 starting at 6:30 p.m. Free parking nearby and see the newly renovated home of the Kentucky Derby.

During the Show, make your way to the Kentucky Exposition Center badge pickup in the North Wing Lobby, the West Wing, or other spots scattered throughout the facility. The FAQ section of our app has all the details and a map.
